Mr Chris Sharp, of Gisborne, KSM for services to Search and Rescue and outdoor recreation
Mr Chris Sharp is one of the longest-serving members of Land Search and Rescue in New Zealand and assists the New Zealand Police as a Search Advisor. He is Chair and Trustee of the Gisborne Land Search and Rescue Charitable Trust Board. He was a Bush Instructor with the Gisborne Mountain Safety Council and an Assistant Scout Master with the Tokomaru Bay Scouts. He served on the Eastland Outdoor Enterprises Trust, Eastern Regional Search and Rescue Committee and Te Urewera Conservation Board. He held leadership positions with the Gisborne Canoe and Tramping Club. Mr Sharp helped establish Wandersearch in Tairāwhiti.
