Mrs Marjorie Carr, of Ōtorohanga, KSM for services to netball and the community
Mrs Marjorie Carr held numerous leadership positions within the Ōtorohanga Netball Association, now Ōtorohanga Netball Centre, and Waikato Netball. She is Patron of Ōtorohanga Netball Centre and serves on the Protest and Awards Committees. She was Ōtorohanga Umpire Association President. While teaching at Ōtorohanga College, she developed the netball programme and initiated tours to the South Island, Rarotonga and Australia.
She is a Life Member and Patron of the Ōtorohanga Tennis Club, having played competitively, coached juniors and adults, facilitated ladies’ evenings, led fundraising events, and served as President.
Mrs Carr has held key positions with the Ōtorohanga Lyceum Club.
