Mr Trevor Janes, of Auckland, ONZM for services to business and public sector governance
Mr Trevor Janes was Chair of the NZX Regulation Company (RegCo), supporting New Zealand’s capital markets, and he has been Chair, Deputy Chair or Director of the Public Trust, KiwiRail, ACC, Mighty River Power, Watercare, Housing New Zealand, and Auckland District Health Board. As a Board member of the ACC Investment Committee and as a specialist member of the Investment Committee, he played a major role in the organisation’s reputation as a market leader in the investment of nearly $50 billion in public funds. He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Financial Professionals and the New Zealand Society of Investment Analysis, and was a Chartered Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Directors until 2022. Mr Janes chaired the Tokelau Islands Investment Fund on an unremunerated basis from 2016 to 2020.
