Mr Steve Westgate, JP, of Whangārei, KSM for services to the community
Mr Steve Westgate was a Board member of the Northland Chamber of Commerce, and helped bring a natural gas pipeline to Whangārei. He has advocated for road safety and roading matters, serving with the Northland Road Safety Trust, the AA’s Northland District Council, and its National Council. He has served with the Northland Conservation Board, the Northland Branch of Forest and Bird, the Bream Head Conservation Trust, Friends of Matakohe-Limestone Island Society and the Northland Regional Transport Committee, where he advocated for environmental sustainability. Mr Westgate also chaired the Stock Effluent Disposal Committee, and was President of the Whangārei South Rotary Club.
