Dame Patsy officially opened the 2019 Auckland Lantern Festival at the Domain. The Festival is the largest of its type outside Mainland China and celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The Lantern Festival marks the official end of the Chinese New Year, when people gather together to light lanterns, feast and look forward to a prosperous year ahead.
