Garrick Dumble, Timaru, QSM, for services to the community
Mr Garrick Dumble has been a trustee for the Mountain View Village Trust in Timaru since 1993. He voluntarily worked to facilitate the planning and construction of the independent retirement village and acted as a liaison between incoming residents and builders during construction. He is now a resident of the village, and provides help to residents with housing and general concerns. He has received numerous humanitarian and service awards from the Lions Club International Foundation, and through the Timaru Suburban Lions, of which he has been a member for 42 years. He is a life member of the Lloyd Morgan Lions Club Charitable Trust. He was an elected member of the Southland County Council and the Southland United Council for 13 years. He volunteered with the Lumsden Fire Brigade for 14 years. Mr Dumble was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1971.
