Lester Harvey
Lester Harvey, of Mosgiel, received The Queen's Service Medal for services to the community. Mr Harvey has been involved with the Mosgiel community for more than 45 years. He was instrumental in the establishing of the Mosgiel Rail Corridor Beautification Working Party and in the developing of the Wingatui to Riccarton Road scenic area. He is a member of the Mosgiel Taieri Community Board and was a member of the Board of Governors of Taieri High School. He is a member of the Taieri Pipe Band and the Secretary/Treasurer of the Taieri Highland Games. Mr Harvey was the South Island vice president of the New Zealand Horological Association, and a member of the Mosgiel Retailers Association Executive.
