William Gallagher
Sir William Gallagher, of Hamilton, received the Insignia of a Knight Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to business. As Chairman and Chief Executive of the Gallagher Group, Sir William developed the company into a leading international player in animal management systems, perimeter security and access control systems. The Gallagher Group is committed to research and development to improve business outcomes, with the company employing more than 600 people in New Zealand and a further 400 overseas. Sir William has represented New Zealand on a number of overseas trade missions and won the respect of manufacturers and exporters.
