David Henshaw
David Henshaw, of Hamilton, received the Insignia of an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services as a cartoonist. Mr Henshaw is a cartoonist who has contributed to a better understanding between New Zealand's rural and urban communities, particularly among children. His main character, ‘Jock’, has become a recognised national identity. His cartoons are a record of the agricultural and social history of New Zealand during the last 40 years. He has published five books of cartoons and is a regular contributor to the New Zealand Farmer.
