Molly Pardoe
Molly Pardoe, of Gisborne, received the Insignia of a Member of the NZ Order of Merit on 25 September 2008, for services to Maori health. Ms Pardoe has been involved in Maori health issues with a focus on safety and injury protection in the East Coast and Bay of Plenty regions for many years. She was the co-ordinator of the National Injury Prevention pilot programme, the National Women’s Refuge car seat distribution programme, and the Shattered Dreams video on alcohol-related problems. She is also a member of the Injury Surveillance Ministerial Advisory Board. She was chair of the Injury Prevention Network of Aotearoa New Zealand and a member of the group that established the Injury Prevention Foundation Certificate.
