George Brown
George Brown, of Invercargill, received the Queen’s Service Medal for services to to the community. Mr Brown is the Assistant Chair of the Pacific Island Advisory and Cultural Trust, which provides services to Pacific people in Invercargill. He has provided practical help maintaining the Trust's buildings, property and vehicle since the early 1990s. He is the longest-serving member of the Mangaia Club, which serves the pastoral needs of the Mangaian people in Southland. He is involved with the Mataura Presbyterian Church and is also elder within the St Andrews Church in Invercargill.
