Ann Richardson
Professor Ann Richardson, of Christchurch, received the Insignia of a Companion of the Queen’s Service Order, for services to public health, on 5 September. An expert in the evaluation of screening programmes and cancer epidemiology, Professor Richardson is a member of the Public Health Committee of the Health Research Council, the National Health Promotion Committee of the Cancer Society of New Zealand, and the Colorectal Cancer Screening Advisory Group of the Ministry of Health. She was also a member of the Prostrate Cancer Screening Advisory Group, the New Zealand National Guidelines Group on screening for colorectal cancer in high-risk individuals, the Early Detection of Breast Cancer in Primary Care Project, and the Interim National Quality Standards Review for BreastScreen Aotearoa and Standards New Zealand.
