FDR International Disability Award
The Governor-General, Hon Anand Satyanand, received the prestigious Franklin Delano Roosevelt International Disability Award on behalf of New Zealand at the United Nations in New York on 6 May 2008. The Governor-General and Mike Gourley, President of the New Zealand Disabled Person's Assembly are pictured being led into the ECOSOC Chamber at the UN by a Maori cultural party.
