Beverley Revell, of West Harbour
Beverley Revell received the Queen's Service Medal for services to the community. Mrs Revell has contributed to a number of community-based initiatives in a variety of capacities in Waitakere for more than 30 years. In 1986 she co-founded the West Auckland Hospice HomeCare and was the sole charge nurse and Chief Executive until her retirement in 2001. Since retirement, she has continued to serve the organisation as a volunteer. She has worked with the Auckland Division of the Cancer Society since 1982 and is a member of the Waitakere Licensing Trust for the Massey Ward, the secretary and trustee of the Waitakere Youth Development Trust and the Cariad Early Childhood Trust. Mrs Revell is a civil celebrant and a Justice of the Peace, as well as a founding member and past President of the West Harbour Rotary Club.
