Siale Lilo, of Māngere East
Siale Lilo received the Queen's Service Medal for services to the Pacific Islands community. Mrs Lilo is the Māngere Tongan Methodist Church’s representative for the Tongan Synod. She is also a Lay Preacher, Group Leader, and a Parish Council Member. She is the President of the Tonga-New Zealand Leiti’s Association and the Deputy Chairperson of the Manukau Pacific Island Advisory Committee. She is a volunteer at the Māngere Citizens Advice Bureau, and was a volunteer radio announcer on the Pacific Island community radio station, Radio 531pi, from 1995 to 2001. Mrs Lilo organised a team of people from the Auckland Tongan community to collect and donate three shipping containers of food, clothing and household items, which were sent to Samoa following the 2009 tsunami.
