Fiao’o Faamausili, of Auckland, ONZM, for services to rugby
Seiuli Fiao’o Faamausili is captain of the Black Ferns and is the most capped Black Fern at 52 caps. She has represented New Zealand at five Rugby Women’s World Cup tournaments, where the Black Ferns won four of the five titles. The Black Ferns were recognised as World Rugby’s 2017 team of the year, the first time the award was made to a women’s side, as well as team of the year at the 2017 New Zealand Rugby awards. Ms Faamausili has captained the Auckland Storm to provincial success and has more than 90 appearances with the team. She has been involved with Cure Kids NZ and has contributed to grassroots rugby. She balances her rugby career against her career with the New Zealand Police as a Detective Constable.
