Katrina Todd, of Auckland, ONZM, for services to dance
Katrina Todd had a ten-year international dance career performing with London Festival Ballet, Washington Ballet Company USA, Australian Opera Company, and Sydney Dance Company. On returning to New Zealand, she taught in private practice and at Unitec. She drove the establishment of Wellesley Studios, a Dance House in Auckland, and continues to contribute towards its operating costs. She provides scholarships, financial support and mentoring to young dancers and supports several arts organisations. She was a Trustee on the Board of Integrated Neurological Rehabilitation Foundation, a Patron of the Royal New Zealand Ballet Dress Circle Programme, and a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the New Zealand Dance Company. Ms Todd currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the New Zealand School of Dance.
