Mr Vaha Tuielu, of Rotorua, QSM for services to the Tokelauan community
Vaha Tuielu is President of the Tokelauan Rotorua Community. He voluntarily ran Tokelauan language classes for several years. He is an Elder at St John’s Presbyterian Church in Rotorua, where he leads Tokelau language services. He convenes the Pacific Island people of St Johns and volunteered as an outreach ministries leader at Rangipo prison. He has translated for and offered guidance to Te Lumanaki Pacific Service to support Pacific families that have been involved with Oranga Tamariki. He was Secretary of the TuTolu Youth Sports Committee. Mr Tuielu presents on Sunday radio broadcasts for the Tokelauan news channel.
