Reverend Tui Fakafotu Sopoaga, of Porirua, QSM for services to the Tokelauan community
Reverend Elder Tui Sopoaga is the Minister for the Congregational Church of Tokelau in Porirua. With his congregation, he founded and built the Pahina o Tokelau Church and Pahina Community Hall. He is a founding member and Chairperson of the Tokelau Bible Translation Committee. He has been Chairman of the Tokelauan Congregational Christian Church in Tokelau, New Zealand and Australia. He is Chairman of the Tokelau Wellington Leadership Group and plays a key role in the Fakaofo Tokelau Community Group, facilitating workshops on suicide prevention and domestic violence. Reverend Sopoaga plays a leadership role in the annual Tokelau Language Week.
