Miss Lauren Boyle, MNZM, for services to swimming
Lauren Boyle has represented New Zealand in swimming at three Commonwealth Games and three Olympic Games. She won a bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in the 4x200m Freestyle Relay, winning silver in the same event four years later. She won gold in the 800-metre Freestyle at the 2012 FINA World Swimming Championships. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, she won gold in the 400-metre Freestyle, after she achieved a Commonwealth Games record in the final. At the Wellington Short Course Championships in 2014, she broke the World Short Course record in the 1,500-metre Freestyle. Since retiring, Miss Boyle has become an ambassador for Water Safety New Zealand.
