Professor Susan Krumdieck, MNZM, of Christchurch, for services to sustainability research and engineering
Professor Susan Krumdieck is co-founder, co-leader and trustee of the Global Association for Transition Engineering.
She has consulted for government and community groups on transport, energy and future demand projects. Her research focuses on developing engineering methods and innovative technologies for reduced fossil fuel production and consumption.
She is Director of the University of Canterbury’s Advanced Energy and Material Systems Lab and sits on the Royal Society of New Zealand Energy Panel.
She is a member of the Upper North Island Supply Chain Strategy working group.
Professor Krumdieck published the textbook ‘Transition Engineering’, has more than 160 peer-reviewed publications, and is on the editorial boards of six scientific journals.
