Reverend Janice Stead, MNZM, of Christchurch, for services to sport and the community
Reverend Janice Stead has been involved in cricket at all levels, as a player, commentator, selector, and administrator.
She represented New Zealand in nine cricket tests, touring Australia, South Africa, and England.
Following her playing days, she provided television and radio commentary.
She was on the Canterbury Women’s Cricket Executive and is a Life Member of the Canterbury Cricket Association.
She served on the Canterbury Table Tennis Committee, is a Life Member of the Association, played for and later managed the New Zealand Team, and umpired for the World Deaf Table Tennis Games.
Reverend Stead was a voluntary chaplain for the Windsor Care Retirement Village and Alpine View Life Care.
