Operation Endurance - Journey to the sub-Antarctic islands

As a part of Operation Endurance, the joint Royal New Zealand Navy and Department of Conservation expedition to New Zealand's sub-Antarctic islands, the Governor-General, Rt Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, and Lady Susan Satyanand, visited Campbell and the Auckland islands from December 6-12 2010. Operation Endurance, undertaken by HMNZS Otago and HMNZS Wellington, the Navy's new offshore patrol vessels, marks the bicentennial of the discovery of Campbell Island in 1810.
