Visit to Papatūānuku Kōkiri Marae

Dame Cindy Kiro visited Papatūānuku Kōkiri Marae - an urban marae in Māngere created almost 40 years ago to serve the needs of all iwi in the Auckland region, particularly those without connection to their ancestral marae. While there, Dame Cindy saw the Kai Ika project, which takes fish heads donated by local fisheries and redistributes them to people in need.
