Waitangi events - 5 February 2013

The Governor-General, Lt Gen The Rt Hon Sir Jerry Mateparae, and Lady Janine Mateparae, undertook a number of events in Waitangi on 5 February 2013, on the eve of the 173rd anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi on 6 February 1840.  The met the Waitangi National Trust Board, hosted the Bledisloe Reception (to mark the gift of the Treaty Grounds by Governor-General, Lord Charles Bledisloe, and Lady Elaine Bledisloe) and attended the Royal New Zealand Navy Beat Retreat and Ceremonial Sunset Ceremony on the Treaty grounds.
