At Saturaday morning’s ceremony, former President of the Court of Appeal, The Honourable Sir Mark Cooper KNZM was knighted for his services to the judiciary. The Honourable Ruth Richardson CNZM, Minister of Finance in the fourth National Government, was recognised for her services as a Member of Parliament and to Governance. Dr Christopher Longhurst and Mr Tyrone Marks both received KSO insignia for their services to survivors of abuse in care, and former All Black Murray Mexted ONZM was acknowledged for his services to rugby.
Other recipients were recognised for their contributions across broadcasting, choral music, ethnic communities, Pacific and LGBTQ+ communities, and the arts.
