Auckland Government House gardens are magnificent but they are not mobility friendly! The tour is 90 minutes of walking, often on bush paths and slopes. The route includes stairs. It is not suitable for buggies, wheelchairs or walking frames, or those who cannot walk for 90 minutes. There is no option to sit out part of the tour. The tour is garden only and does not go into the house.
The tour will go ahead regardless of weather conditions.
Security:
- All adults must have a form of ID with them for check-in at the Savannah Street gate. Photo ID is preferred.
- Photography is allowed but no filming.
- Your tour registration details may be checked by the New Zealand Police.
Getting here:
- Enter via the Savannah Street gate.
- We do not have parking available. Please do not park in the reserved Eden Garden carparks.
