This morning, seven outstanding New Zealanders were honoured at Government House Auckland for their exceptional service, achievements, and dedication to others.
Sir David Ellis was knighted for services to the thoroughbred industry and philanthropy. Sir David was inducted into the New Zealand Racing Hall of Fame in 2025 and is recognised as one of the most influential figures in New Zealand thoroughbred racing, breeding, and rural enterprise.
Two recipients received their ONZM, three recipients received their MNZM, and one more was awarded their KSM for services across a range of fields, including nursing and women’s health, breastfeeding medicine, rugby league, refugees and migrants, and hockey
