The Pike River Royal Commission

The Governor-General, Lt Gen The Rt Hon Sir Jerry Mateparae, received the Pike River Royal Commission Report at Government House in Wellington on 30 October 2012.  Commission chairman Justice Graham Panckhurst handed the report to the Governor-General, who then gave it to Paul James, Deputy Chief Executive of the Department of Internal Affairs to give to the Attorney-General, Hon Christopher Finlayson.  The report will be released when it is tabled in Parliament.
