State Dinner for the President of the Philippines

The Governor-General, Lt Gen The Rt Hon Sir Jerry Mateparae, and Lady Janine Mateparae, hosted a State Dinner for the President of the Philippines, HE Benigno Aquino III, at Government House in Wellington on 23 October 2012.  The dinner was attended by more than 100 guests including the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Rt Hon John Key, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Dr Lockwood Smith, Hon Maryan Street, representing the Leader of the Opposition, and the Dean of the Apostolic Nuncio and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Most Rev Charles Balvo.
