School to Skies Programme

Dame Patsy and Sir David visited the School to Skies programme at RNZAF Base, Woodbourne. School to Skies offers 40 Year 13 female students from all over New Zealand the opportunity for a hands on experience of RNZAF technical and aviation trades. The participants get to fix real aircraft (both fixed wing and rotary wing), fly a simulator, plan a flight mission, build electronic components and learn more about engineering fundamentals as well as taking part in workshops and leadership exercises.
