The Government House Wellington art collection is considerable. Ranging from contemporary New Zealand art to colonial art. We have Māori and Pacific artists, local Wellington artists, even Dutch masters. There are beautiful examples of colonial furniture, ornate carved coats of arms, as well as modern sculpture and pottery. The problem is that this art needs to be seen. It needs to be seen by you.
This art specific tour will take around 120mins and will take you to rooms not usually seen by the general public. Tours are free but places must be booked in advance. Bookings should be made online: https://gg.govt.nz/government-house/government-house-wellington/government-house-tours/upcoming
