Last night, Dame Cindy and Dr Davies welcomed members of the Royal New Zealand Artillery for their traditional Gunners’ Day Dinner, in honour of the service of its members past and present. In New Zealand, the RNZAA was founded by First World War veterans, and is now the principal association for New Zealand Gunners – both in the Regular Force and the Territorial Force. The Association advocates and assists Gunners, particularly those who suffer war-related injuries. His Majesty King Charles III is Captain-General of the RNZAA.
