Last night, Dame Cindy and Doctor Davies hosted a dinner to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Asia Forum and the 50th anniversary of the New Zealand-ASEAN relationship. The Asia Forum is a Wellington-based discussion group that brings together the diplomatic, business, official and academic communities. There are currently ten Southeast Asian countries in ASEAN, which promotes political and economic cooperation and regional stability. Guests at last night's dinner included members of the Diplomatic Corps, MPs, and former Governors-General, Dame Silvia Cartwright and Sir Anand Satyanand.
