Every New Zealand Honours recipient has been nominated by someone who believed their contribution deserves to be recognised and celebrated.
At this afternoon’s investiture ceremony, twelve more recipients were acknowledged for their dedication and generosity of service.
Two recipients received the insignia of an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit: Mr Jack Hodder, KC, for services to the law, and Mr Geoffrey Maber for services to agribusiness.
Four recipients received their MNZM, and six more were awarded their KSM for services to a wide range of areas, including gastroenterology, youth, Māori, writing and education, swimming, sport, nursing, rail heritage and wildlife conservation.
