Dr Tania Pinfold, of Wellington, KSM for services to youth health
Dr Tania Pinfold is a General Practitioner who helped co-establish several school health clinics in Rotorua. She instigated and set up a free health clinic at the Rotorua Youth Centre Taiohi Turama. The centre carries out eight to ten thousand consultations annually, assisting with adolescent mental health, sexual health, and other matters. She led the centre’s growth and transition across premises, solidifying its sustainable, nurse-led service.
She was instrumental in establishing a health centre at the Rotorua Youth Justice Residence. Dr Pinfold was a founding member of the Society of Youth Health Practitioners Aotearoa New Zealand.
