Ms Hanny Naus, of Wellington, KSM for services to seniors and rainbow communities
Ms Hanny Naus works in Age Concern New Zealand Elder Abuse and Neglect Prevention Professional Education, and has trained healthcare providers, law enforcement, financial advisors and community volunteers to develop understanding of elder abuse. She advised on the national strategy for preventing family and sexual violence Te Aorerekura, the Whaimana – Support My Decisions project, and has advised the Human Rights Commission. She supported grassroots initiatives in Southland to strengthen support for older Takatāpui and rainbow communities. Ms Naus has been a Board member of the Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers.
