Mr Dan Buckingham, of Auckland, MNZM for services to people with disabilities and wheelchair rugby
Mr Dan Buckingham was part of the Wheel Blacks gold medal-winning team at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games, and captained the team at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. He was a presenter and producer for TVNZ’s coverage of the Rio 2016 Paralympics, and is Chief Executive of Attitude Pictures. He is CEO of Able, creating accessible audiovisual media through captioning and audio description services, and is a founding member of the Disability Media Collective. He is Chair of the CatWalk Trust, and a Board member of ACC and Spada. Mr Buckingham served on the disability advisory panel for Auckland Council, and was a Board member for Drug Free Sport New Zealand.
