Gideons International

The Governor-General, Sir Jerry Mateparae, receives a commemorative Bible from Chris Miles, President, Gideons International (Wellington Camp).  The presentation marked the distribution of the 3 millionth copy of the Gideons Bible and New Testament in New Zealand.   It is estimated that the 3 millionth copy was distributed in early 2012.  Gideons had previously presented commemorative copies to Governor-General Sir Keith Holyoake to mark the distribution of the 1st millionth copy and to Dame Catherine Tizard to mark the distribution of the 2nd millionth copy.
