Euan McQueen, Wellington, QSM, for services to rail transport and education
Mr Euan McQueen was foundation Chair of the New Zealand Rail Heritage Trust in 1991 and was Chair until his retirement in 2012. He spent 20 years working in senior management positions for New Zealand Railways. He was involved in the Chartered Institute of Transport including as President and Chair of the Research and Education Trust Board. He was Chair of the Onslow College Board of Governors and Chair of a panel that assessed non-university degree proposals for the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. He was a Visiting Fellow at the University of Auckland, and President of the New Zealand Geographical Society. Mr McQueen was a Wellington Regional Councillor and a member of the Wellington Primary Health Care Trust.
