Tupare Gardens
To mark their visit to New Plymouth's Tupare Gardens on 30 October 2009, Governor-General, Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, planted a tree. Tupare Gardens, administered by the Taranaki Regional Council, features significantly in the Taranaki Rhododendron and Garden Festival which runs from late October to mid-November.
