Jack Inglis
Jack Inglis, of Motueka, received the Insignia of an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the community. Since being awarded a Queen’s Service Medal for public service in 1996, Mr Inglis has continued to contribute to his local community. He established the Motueka Hospital Trust which funded the construction of the Jack Inglis Friendship Hospital. Opening in 2009, this $12 million facility caters for the wider Motueka district. He is now advocating for an additional 20 bed wing to be added to the building. Mr Inglis has been a Tasman District councillor since 2004.
