Warrant Officer Class 1 Ian Ponse, DSD
Warrant Officer Class One Ponse serves as Quartermaster of the 16th Field Regiment, Royal New Zealand Artillery, and in this capacity has managed three projects introducing new capabilities for operational deployments. He has completed the construction of specialised lines for the Very Low Level Air Defence Capability, which was completed on time and on budget. He was instrumental in raising 39 Mortar Battery at Burnham. He has also been involved in the development of the KAHU Unmanned Aerial Surveillance Battle-Lab, from its experimental stage to its first successful deployment in 2010. The introduction to service of these assets has helped to improve the Army’s operational capabilities.
