Olivia James
Olivia James, of Titirangi, received the Queen's Service Medal for services to the community. Mrs James has contributed to the development of social services and infrastructure in the Manukau community for more than 30 years. She was a volunteer with the Otara Citizens' Advice Bureau and helped establish five other offices in the region. She played a key role establishing the Counties Manukau Health Council and the Manukau City Council's Pacific Islands Advisory Committee. She was involved with the Te Ora o Manukau - Manukau Healthy City group and was involved in instituting Enterprising Manukau. She established Otara Health, where she implemented and established some 20 successful projects.
