Margaret Seabrook
Margaret Seabrook, of Wanganui, received the Queen's Service Medal for services to the visually impaired community. Mrs Seabrook has volunteered in the Wanganui community for more than 30 years, particularly supporting those with visual disabilities. She is a member of the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind and was a foundation member of the Wanganui Branch. She writes a weekly column on blind issues in a local newspaper, writes and produces newsletters into large print for the partially sighted, and records them into an audio format. Mrs Seabrook is president of the Wanganui Branch of the Association of Blind Citizens and is a member of the national council.
