Dr Jill McIlraith, MNZM of Dunedin, for services to health and women
Dr McIlraith was a founding member of Aurora Health Centre, Dunedin’s first all-woman medical practice. She has been Director of the Dunedin Urgent Doctors and Accident Centre, a Board member of Well Dunedin Primary Health Organisation, a general practice registrar teacher with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners, and Otago and National President of the New Zealand Medical Women’s Association. She serves on the Doctors for Sexual Abuse Care’s twenty-four-hour roster. Dr McIlraith is the clinical advisor for Southern District Health Board’s Sexual Abuse Assessment and Treatment Service and clinical leader for the Sexual Health Service, and has presented sexual health education to numerous groups.
