Mr Filipo Lui, of Lower Hutt, QSM for services to the Tokelauan Community
Mr Lui was a founding member of the Tokelau Hutt Valley Sports and Culture Association. He helped establish Te Umiumiga Tokelau Hutt Valley, which runs a Tokelauan community centre. He has served on several Pacific advisory groups and led development of the Ko Na Nanu O Te Tifa: Tokelau Hutt Valley Youth Development Strategy. He was a foundation member of the Tokelau Wellington Leadership Group, which established New Zealand’s Tokelau Language Week. He has worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Office of the Administrator of Tokelau and contributed to social policy research for Lower Hutt’s Family Centre
