Mrs Margaret Cook, of Invercargill, MNZM for services to the community
Margaret Cook is a member and former Vice President of the National Council of Women of New Zealand. She is Habitat for Humanity’s Family Services convenor and previously served as National Director and Chair of the Invercargill and Christchurch Boards. She is a Trustee and Deputy Chair of the South Invercargill Urban Rejuvenation Charitable Trust, which trades as South Alive. She is the convenor of the South Alive Housing Action Group and the lead on the Southland Community Housing Group. Mrs Cook has helped lead many events in her community, has been a Cub Leader for Scouts New Zealand and chaired the Girls Brigade Area Council.
