Ms Honey Hireme, of Hamilton, for services to rugby league
Honey Hireme was the captain of the Kiwi Ferns. She has played in four Rugby League World Cups, and was most valuable player in 2013 and highest try scorer in 2017.
She was named New Zealand Rugby League Women’s Player of the Year three times. She has appeared in world cups with the New Zealand Women’s Rugby Union team and the national rugby sevens team. She has coached rugby union and league and represented Waikato in the women’s provincial championship.
She was a Community Support Manager at Life Unlimited Charitable Trust. Ms Hireme is a Sky Sport presenter and a Disability Sport Advisor with the Halberg Foundation.
