Tauranga turned on a warm welcome for Dame Patsy and Sir David with clear blue skies for the powhiri by Tauranga Moana iwi at Huria Marae. Dame Patsy's relationship with the marae goes back to her time as a Chief Crown Negotiator of Treaty Settlements.
In the afternoon, Dame Patsy officially opened The Kollective, an innovative new co-working space for social and community initiatives that also incorporates sustainability and thoughtful design into its building.
